This tracking stuff is all the Apple haters fault. All the non-iPhone owners are the one's making a big deal about it. Can't wait to buy a white iPhone tomorrow so Apple can track 2 phones I own.

I've been using it for a few months. While it does exactly what I need it to do, it does lag often and I also suspect that it crashes my iPhone. I end up having to reboot.

TJ Maxx isn't selling them at a loss. TJ Maxx however is diluting the perceived value of the iPad. That's something all manufacturers -- not just Apple -- look to protect.

It's exactly why Amazon forces you to put some things in your cart to see the price. Amazon can't advertise a product below Price X, according to their agreement with the manufacturer. If they did, Amazon would be diluting the perceived market value of the product, which would force other resellers to follow suit. This forces the market price lower, and then resellers start putting pressure on the manufacturer to lower THEIR price (to resellers) so the retailers/resellers can maintain healthier margins.

It turns into a race towards the bottom, where a product gets commoditized. Manufacturers try to avoid that at all costs, because they only have a few products where they can sell at a high-margin or premium, for so long, before competition creates a pressure to drive the price down.

You are exactly what the forums needed to deal with the wave of spammers that have been striking as of late. I remember one member in particular (I won't name which one) had a post average of over 60 per day shortly after being banned. I know this because I checked that user's profile. 60 per day is almost surely spamming when even Mr. Anderson can't manage more than 16 legitimate posts per day - I haven't found any more active member.

Slowly gain market share? After iLife, its getting pretty close to a mac experiance, everything they own will start to integrate, why not switch?

I don't understand the people that say they are extremely dissapointed with no Leopard or Mac mention. Or the people that say that they fear Apple is forgeting the Mac.

Come on, just 7 months ago they realesed Intel MaBook Pro's, then the Macbook (that is selling like crazy), and all the other Intel Macs. They announce Leopard, they give some pretty good demo's about it. So, what do you expect? All this takes time.

And about giving more attention to other products, just accept it, Mac's have been getting more popular, but they are reaching a limit. A limit that even if you don't like, there it is. And the limit is Windows presence. If Apple wants to break this limit they have to start making their prducts (all of them) more popular.

The iPod makes a lot of PC user swith to a Mac (I include myself here). The iPhone is the same (would be, I hope), Apple TV is the same as the iPhone, these are products that tempt PC users to switch.

A couple of those S2Ks earlier are AWESOME!! I've been really thinking about getting rid of my Talon and buying one of those. I need a new project car, and the S2K would be great. Those are just classic looking, so even years down the road, it will still look great. Thanks for the pics.

well here is the damage.

I cant get the old paste off the gpu as its baked on hard! I've managed to clean the heatsink of the remnants though.

Will applying a layer to the the GPU be enough? Will the remaining contact area of new paste be effective or is it FUBAR?

Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) and qtips can't get more of the paste off? I've read about people using a razor blade before to scrape it off, or use acetone, or even a hair dryer. You might wait for someone with actual experience removing the old stubborn stuff to post a reply, I'm just repeating what I've read elsewhere.

If Apple releases a phone in the next few months that has OS X on it, I will personally eat one and post it on YouTube. ;)

So I guess you'd be off the hook this this case since as you can see from that phone's screen, it's running Mac OS M. ;)

Email needs to be a a focus, really. The thing about IM is the person has to be available to chat unless they leave themselves logged on all the time. I might as well just call them in that case. :rolleyes: With email, you can deliver a long message to a person even if their phone is turned off.
