Yes, even when calling the person had to get an ATT manager to setup 700 Nation FamilyTalk A-List when I called 611. They rep said she lost A-list too on her console but the manager fixed it so it will setup in 24 hours... and said the online website will be fixed soon. This is the website process to see this new option - login to your ATT phone account, click "change rate plan", and then you'll see the "+" for the 700 Nation FamilyTalk plan. This just happened today.

I was just fooling around with GarageBand, and whipped up these 4 songs. 2 of them I've used in games I've created.

    Battle (http://www.worldwizard.net/songs/Battle.mp3)
    Battle 2 (http://www.worldwizard.net/songs/Battle_2.mp3)
    Polyphonizer (http://www.worldwizard.net/songs/Polyphonizer.mp3)
    Testing (http://www.worldwizard.net/songs/Testing.mp3)

Of the 4, Polyphonizer is my favorite. It got its name from the fact that it relies on mass polyphony to keep listeners' interest.

But they still get my address .... why? What for? NO NEED FOR THAT!

To me it looks like necessary groundwork to bring this kind of functionality to touch devices, but I hope there are people out there who can create a more intuitive interface paradigm than just having a ton of dense pop-over palettes etc.

Good to see Adobe's working on this, though.

I think the real reason he's leaving is that he is frustrated that Apple doesn't care about computers anymore

He's going back into Science, away from commercial products all together. A land where computers are tools, and the knowledge he brings from working on the OS will be used to make better computer models of complex ideas.

Maybe, just maybe, he was asked to join a really cool amazing research team.

If this has been a two year transition then it's probably not due to any unhappiness with Apple or direction. If it was the transition would have been weeks not years.

with the iTv and nike+ as testing groungs for apples wirless products, perhaps this is why we have seen the delay in the release of the fabled "iphone"? Also contributing to the delay is the time spent in developing the new ear buds. Mr. Jobs said the studied 10,000 ears or someting right? so the could have been developing the iphone pod set. the head set that is a fasion statement and a music player. great sound quality built into a stereo wireless headset that hooks up to iphone. like the first itunes enabled phone commercial with the guy walking and his shadow is dancing, and then answers a call, and then keeps on going :) this pod set will be the next big thing;) :D :p

The 2013 Malibu has been leaked. Official unveiling on Monday.

    I quite like it.

Much better than the old one. Too bad GM insists on selling the I4 LTZ for the same price of a Fusion V6.

I'm a switcher of two types.
    Read on.

I've been a PC owner and builder ever since I built up a 233Mhz Cyrix from scratch years ago. It's been upgraded a few times and I've been satisfied with it up to now.

But then I saw the Cube.

For some reason I developed a little obsession over that cute little computer and attempted to learn all I could about it.

One thing led to another and before you knew it, I was deep in Apple-land and I didn't even realize it.
At that time I had Win98 on my PC and it was notoriously crash happy. I then read about MS's latest OS (XP) which was supposed to be a lot more stable so I got it.
And then my eyes were opened.

I never liked the idea of activation so I spend many wasted hours trying (and succeding) to crack it.
It ended up being a very reliable and stable OS, but as time went on, I learned more and more about MS's policies and became more uncomfortable with the idea of using one of their products daily.

So I decided to check out Linux.

After many failed attempts at getting the most basic of things working under Mandrake 8.2, I ended up wiping it and going back to XP.

A few months later a 300Mhz Blueberry iBook came up for sale right here on MR. I talked to my parents about it and they agreed that it would be a good investment to have when I move out. So I bought my first Mac! (still Cubeless)
But I wasn't done with my PC yet.

I had learned of this company called Lindows.com that was attempting to run Windows software on Linux. Interested, I looked up as much info as I could and decided to give it a shot after 2.0 was released.
My CD arrived in the mail and I installed it on a seperate hard drive and gave it a whirl. It was still a bit unstable, but much more usable than Mandrake.

I decided to wait until the final version came out to experiment with it again and I just got the 3.0 CDs in the mail a few days ago and I can now say I am on my way to becoming 100% MS free.

If it weren't for a couple of niche things, I would competely wipe XP from my hard drive and happily use Lindows and OSX.

My local newspaper's website, http://www.news-record.com , worked fine last week. Now it crashes Safari whenever I try to load the page. I duplicated this on two different Macs. What did they do?

It's good, got my first one last week. It does get hot, really hot, but it's best interface I have ever heard. Going to add some heat sinks to the chips, that will help. Perfect timing with Pro Tools 9.

I'm a web designer and I think that part of good web design is flexibility and compatibility; in other words, a good website design should be one that can be customized at the will of the user, such as resizing a text box that is too small.

Besides, have you seen this in action? (I got a 403 when I tried to view the blog - I don't know about you). Do we know that resizing a text box will rearrange any other elements of the site? Knowing Apple, they've probably come up with some way to resize the text box in a non-destructive manor, and maybe resize it back to it's original size when a user isn't using it. Does that make sense?

All these features sound like great additions to Safari - especially searching text in a web page; it's about bloody time Apple!

I think people are in contracts and don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get out of them. Also people know that a new iphone is rumored to be out in the Summer/Fall so why buy an old model.
If my old BB storm wasn't a complete turd I would have waited for the iphone 5.

Bertrand Serlet, senior vice president of Mac Software Engineering, will be departing the company in order to "focus less on products and more on science"
He's moving to Aperture Science. Look at him still designing when there's Science to do.

Your out of luck. Under no circumstances will Apple EVER replace a product with another one that is not exactly the same! Period!

While I agree that under those circumstances Apple is unlikely to make the swap I have to disprove your claim. My mom's 14 inch iBook's screen broke when our dog pulled the cord it was plugged into and knocked it to the floor (pre-magsafe days). She sent it into Apple where they so sweetly said they would repair it free of charge even though they didn't have to. It ended up taking a few weeks when they said they would have a new one for her in a couple of days. After a few times calling in to check on the status that never seemed to change, Apple sent her a brand new updated 12 inch powerbook! Another time a friend of mine spilled wine on the keyboard of his 2009 15 inch top of the line Macbook Pro. It worked for a few more months until it finally kaput. He took it into Apple just to see what they would do, not too optimistic. The Genius was awesome and gave him a brand new 2011 top of the line 15 incher!
