The ipods do not have enough individuality/functionality to do this, without changing the entire underlying scheme. (Generally they fix this in Itunes).
What they do is prevent unwitting individuals to participate easily in large scale piracy, but allow local piracy.
This tends to INCREASE sales, not DECREASE sales. Local piracy creates obligation and requires work. Both of these create demand for legal product interestingly enough. (Large scale piracy does nothing for demand, but DRM does not affect large scale piracy).
At anyrate, the apple system is well done, the movie folks should just take thier money, and I suppose complain loudly, but just take the money

I had the same problem earlier this week. I'm running 4.3.2 and downloaded Clear Folder Themes from Cydia and it worked great. Hope this helps.

Who is going and what time are you getting there? I hear from mall security that doors will not open to the mall until 6am and that no lines will be allowed to form outside the mall before then :-/

Today I plugged in my iPod nano. Usually my iPod will appear and start to sync but instead a box appeared and says "iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes"
I clicked on the Restore button and when it is finished, the same box pops up telling me that I need to restore it. I tried several times and nothing is working. I dont know what is going on and i have tried everything.
If anyone knows what to do I will be very thankful !!

I am A GSM user but do not care for cingular. I was looking forward to this phone, but will not use cingular... so no phone for me. I would also like to take advantage of 3G since it is available in my area.

What's up with Leopard... I would have like to have seen that and also been promised a release date on it... my G4 was slow when I bought it, but I wanted OS X. It's an awesome OS... I am waiting for leopard to be released before I get my next Mac.

that term somehow makes me feel bad about myself.

anyway, been upgrading every year with the offset of selling the old equipment to pay for part or most of the new.
added a nice crack to my iphone 4 front panel and was considering the $200 replacement through :apple: now, i may just do it, stick with the four until the true end of my two year, and upgrade then, to avoid the extra $50.
unless the latest revision has something in it necessary to the function of the device, is the upgrade tax going to be worth it to most people?

It all comes down to the Malcolm X vs MLK school of thoughr. You can either use violent confrontation as opposed to serious aggressive non violent confrontation.
